Donation carts are located just inside the staff hallway of the library.
 

Please remember that the books you donate are going to be sold and will be going into someone else's home.

Make sure they are in the best condition; not water damaged, mildewed, yellowed or stained.

LARGE DONATIONS

Large donations of 5 or more boxes or bags are by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Smaller donations of 5 or less SMALL boxes or bags may be left in the donation bins during regular library hours.

The Friends gladly accept donations of gently used:

  • Hardcover Fiction and Non-faction

  • Paperback Fiction and Non-fiction

  • Graphic Novels

  • CDs, DVDs, Audiobooks

  • Large Print books

The Friends DO NOT accept

  • Water or mildew damaged books

  • VHS or audio cassette tapes

  • Reader's Digest Condensed Books

  • Magazines

  • Encyclopedias

  • Promotional items

  • Textbooks

  • Computer/Technology

  • Books published before 2020

  • Personal finance books published before 2020

  • Travel books published before 2020

  • Medical books published before 2020

Monetary Donations

The Friends accept monetary donations and appreciate your support.

Friends of the Greenburgh Libnrary is a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit Organization. Your donation is tax deductible.

Donations to the Friends support a wide variety of programs and services that are available to the public at no charge.

Tribute Card

You can support the Friends of the Greenburgh Library while making a special occasion even more meaningful.

 

Send a Tribute Card to honor a loved one's memory or to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or other special occasion.

Donors may also give a gift just to say "Thank You." The Friends will send the recipient of your Tribute Card an acknowledgement of your donation.

Complete the TRIBUTE CARD CONTRIBUTION form available at the GPL Circulation Desk or attached below. Attach a check in whatever amount is comfortable for you. Leave it at GPL Circulation Desk or mail it to:
